How to determine the width of a fabric?Updated 2 months ago
The width of a fabric is determined by measuring the fabric from selvage to selvage, or between the tightly woven finished edges at the sides of the fabric. The width runs parallel to the cut ends.
To find the width of a fabric listed on the fabric page, look in the product specifications section next to "Fabric Width". Note that our fabrics are measured from outer edge to outer edge, including any unprinted or differently-finished selvages, which means that the listed width of the fabric may be wider than the usable width.
